These cups were all handcrafted by skilled Japanese craftspeople with the traditional and originally developed techniques, inlaying mother-of-pearl into wooden cups made of Japanese wild cherry trees.

SAKURA, Birds and Mt. Fuji are beautifully expressed by the outstanding Japanese traditional technique of inlaid work using abalone shell.
The craftspeople carved the surface of wood very delicately into the shapes, and then they inlaid shell into the wood.
